I moved to Durango in fall of 2015. Grew up skiing at Wolf Creek every winter and hiking in the San Juans during summer. Originally from Texas, I started playing tennis around in middle school and fell in love with the sport! Rose quickly through the ranks and after high school was ranked in the top 40 in Texas. Received the president's scholarship to play NCAA tennis for Trinity University in San Antonio. Graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Finance and Sports Management.
Have taught (mainly privately) tennis for over 10 years in both Texas and Colorado. Trained at the Newcombe Academy in New Braunfels. Played on red clay courts for a year while living in Norway as my parents were on work exchange there . Played indoors during the winter and got to ski ice in the dark in Sweden and Norway!. My objective as a coach is simple: Improve your tennis game (strokes, strategy & more), and more importantly, help you enjoy the game more than you already do! My newest game is pickleball. I have won the Men's tournament in Durango the last few years and am now competing national tournaments at the pro level (not a pro sport like tennis yet, but maybe someday!). Ask me about pickleball clinics at both Glacier and the rec center! |
